Welcome Home

Everyone in the family is happy and excited when a soldier comes home after a long deployment, but who is best at expressing that joy? Right, the dog! Mental_floss posted ten videos of dogs welcoming their soldiers home. I dare you to keep a straight face and a dry eye while watching these. Link

Awww!!!! My furbabies act exactly the same way when their pet dad comes home. T-minus 7 days and my family will have a video just like this to share :) :) :)

Whoa, those dogs went nuts. It really makes you see them in a completely different light. Dogs are not just dumb animals who are attached to whoever is currently feeding them. Even almost a year apart they will distinctly remember a person.

    Great link Neatorama.

What a fantastic post. The sounds the dogs make on the third video are practically human. And the last video/compilation…Classic “sorry, there`s something in my eye etc” material.

Y’know, I can’t find a clip on YouTube of the opening montage of “Love, Actually”, so I guess y’all will just have to go get the DVD.
The different views of people greeting their loved ones at Heathrow fits perfectly with this post.
Trust me when I say that I was crying my eyes out within 10 seconds of the start of the movie!

i have to say very heartwarming, but bittersweet. why were all these fine people gone in the first place? meaningless wars? most likely.
