It seems like a bit more modesty might be called for since the “character” is still in school. I like that the skills are described in “ratings” but think it would probably be better to get rid of the numeric level rating.

A bit tricky to pull off well. I don’t how it is in Australia, but in the U.S. prospective employers would probably be a bit discomfited by the fact skin color is included on the sheet.

I liked the resume. The goal of a resume is to get you the job. It does so by getting you noticed. It gets you noticed by setting you apart. This guy definately set himself apart!

Now granted, part of the appeal to me is that I’m a D&D nerd from way back. I imagine it would be lost on someone who didn’t know about the game. As long as it’s targeted to someone who’d understand, he’d be a good candidate for an interview.

I am probably revealing what a huge dork I am, but the ability modifiers aren’t calculated correctly. They should read: +3, +6, +3, +6, -1, +5. And an orc with 23 intelligence? 18 in a stat is considered genius, and orcs get minuses to intelligence.

Absolutely brilliant idea though.

I see that Wisdom is his “dump stat.”* That explains a lot.

*The stat you forget about so you can maximize the ones you care about. For most gamers, it’s Charisma. _That_ explains a lot, as well.

It might be a “d20″ resume, but D&D? Since when are handguns standard gaming equipment for dungeon dwellers? (and don’t give me the “Sixguns and Sorcery” line…)

Also, what is the employer to make of the fact that the person has obviously exaggerated his stats (Dex 22, Cha 20), yet still has a self-proclaimed Wisdom of 8?! Frankly, that’s probably would be the stat I’d most care about as an employer.

I don’t know if anyone would want to hire an Orc though… They have bad tempers and they smell bad.
