Black bears can climb trees very well. Grizzly bears cannot.

I cross the path of a bear this summer and I must say it runs really fast. Don’t try to race against a bear you definitely won’t win!

If I recall correctly some of the larger bears can’t climb trees.

Hey, did you know that a bear is not only faster than men, but can also climb on trees (so not a good hiding place), and also sense women’s periods? Not so shabby in terms of brain as well.
