13 Tombstones

The Haunted Mansion attraction at Walt Disney World features tombstones inscribed with the names of real people. This series of posts called 13 Tombstones tracks down who those people are -mostly Disney employees whose names are now enshrined in the parks for posterity. Link -via Boing Boing

I have read this many, many times with the same smile on my face every time. Having had lived in Orlando until recently for 30 plus years and having been a “cast member”, I have been to the parks some where in the range of 50 odd times. Love the article. Thank you. I loved seeing them again.

I LOVE that attraction. I got to experience it four times on our trip last August. I’ve been a Haunted Mansion fan since I was a toddler, and I first heard about it. Keep the Haunted Mansion material coming!

You should mention that the names on the tombstones aren’t just any Disney employees, but the Imagineers (designers) that created the attraction.
