6 Year Old Boy Floats Away in a Hot Air Balloon - Neatorama

A 6 year old boy climbed into a hot air balloon and floated away, and officials are scrambling to find a way to rescue him. The balloon has the potential to climb to 10,000 feet.

The balloon was last sighted in Milliken, about 40 miles north of Denver.

CNN reported that the balloon landed, but the boy was nowhere to be found.

Well what's being reported over here (UK) is that this was totally a media stunt. Kids don't know how to lie and the fact he said the he was told it was for a 'show' means it probably was.

BamaChris, the kid was never in the balloon to begin with. From what it's sounding like, it was all a hoax.

It was obvious from the first image of the balloon on TV that there was no child inside. The wispy movement of it through there air made it even more obvious. And yet millions of reasonably intelligent people didn't find that to be obvious. I am alternately taken back by the unexpected intelligence of everyday people I talk to or the sheer stupidity of intelligent people I know.
