15 Strangest Breast Cancer Awareness Products

By Miss Cellania in Everything Else on Oct 2, 2009 at 12:17 am

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so you’ll see a lot of items produced in pink. Some product tie-ins will make you scratch your head and smile trying to figure out how they might have anything to do with breast cancer. Most likely, the people in charge of these companies are committed to the cause and this is the best way they can show it. Still, how can you see a pink cement mixer and not do a double take? I’m a high school football official. Last year we used pink whistles for a game. I’m not sure if we are doing the same things this season.

    Miss Cellania,
This certainly made me smile today. Thanks so much for providing this site for us all. I lost my mother to breast cancer so this month is particularly significant to me.

I don’t care, 15 bucks of my purchase went to research.

I always found it kind of odd that yoplait yogurt, in sponsoring breast cancer research, used the catchphrase “Together we can lick breast cancer”.

I love it! The most memorable campaigns happen when companies use out of the box methods to promote awareness for a cause. In support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, I have decided to invest in a company that supports breast cancer research… http://breastcancerinvesting.com/ . Even if I don’t see a return, I will have put my money towards a great cause.
