If you read the ad, it mentions how neither rain, sleet, nor windy days can dull the shine of a shoe shined with their product. Love the “fart out a shoe” comment, though.

It’s a stretch, but whoever said there had to be sense in advertising?

This looks like they came up with the idea for the ad before they actually knew what product they were advertising.

Many people are ignoring the fact that the uplift of wind which is affecting her skirt originating from the nearby grassy knoll. This concludes that the only other reason for this… is that there was a second shoe-ter.

The angle and direction of the shoe suggest it was launched from somewhere around the middle of her back. Also, it’s moving in the same direction as the wind. I would agree there’s something sexually suggestive about the way she’s posing, but the shoe has nothing to do with it.
