No, it’s not a religious thing at all. I have to agree with Babycakes. If these were Allah pears, there’d be riots throughout the Middle East. If they were Jesus pears, there’d be reams of stern letters-to-the-editor.

I think Buddhists are way more easygoing about their icons than other religions.
