I saw a video that appeared to be from a British television program. The man in the piece learns to ride this in a few minutes. He did crash which made me laugh because earlier he pointed out that the maker had only ever built two and I thought he had just broken 1/2 of the worlds supply of gyroscopic motorized unicycles.

Not sure if it has any purpose beyond recreation but sure looks fun

Consider a low tech approach to getting off the ground. Sell plans to anyone wishing to build one and have a one plan set one gadget agreement. Most folks are honest, and investors take the lions share of profits anyway, so what does he have to lose.If he sells enough plans he may then sell components and maybe complete machines.
