Some 'serious' reasons for this can be easily guessed at, but for many modern sports, I think joie de vivre, human curiosity and an interested, enthusiastic community is sufficient to 'sport' as one likes. It appears to me that these girls have the skills be good at a good many sports besides 'bike dancing'. They don't need to apologize or make excuses to anybody for what they do. They will reap the benefits of achievement in sport just as many millions of other young people do. Even our ‘established sports’ are always evolving (basketball 3-point line, etc.). New sports have been appearing, evolving, and radiating into others since the dawn of history, and presumably, before–for many complex reasons.
