This makes a perfect logo for a navigation company. Everyone who can makes sense of the logo will be intrigued, and all others will need their software to decipher it anyway.

Neil is right. By blurring your vision you can see that they are indeed perfect circles. Well, squares that are put in a pattern to form a circle.
