How would you find an oven to bake one piece of bread 179 feet long. Even if Granite City Steel would allow you to use their ovens You’d never be able to move it as one piece.
Besides this was a Charity event for Lift for Life not a Guinness world record attempt.
Great job for a Great Cause wish I could have been there.

If they’re using different pieces of bread, how is it not most BLT sandwiches put in a line? Doesn’t a sandwich have to be in one piece of bread?

The vegetable guy at the restaurant kitchen I once worked in sweated out about a gallon a day. From what I could see, most of it was served up to customers on the plates he was preparing. It would drip off the tip of his nose like a leaky faucet.

waste – Im guessing it was eaten not just chucked in the bin

gloves – I for one dont want some sweaty volunteer touching my sandwich

record – as some people on the site pointed out, it just looks like they put a bunch of smaller sandwiches in a line.

I wish I like lettuce or tomato. When I want bacon on a sandwich I go with a burger or a grilled cheese.
