Cat Circus In Russia

Posted by Jill Harness in Animal, Video Clips on August 8, 2009 at 1:55 am

This mini documentary has a great bit of info about the Moscow Cat Theater. Apparently shows like this are fairly common in Russia although we certainly have nothing in the states like this, at least not with cats. It’s easy to think the cats are unhappy if you saw them outside of the film, but seeing them with their owners, you can see there’s a lot of love there.

Update: For those of you who can’t watch Hulu, coconutnut has found the video on YouTube. Thanks Coconutnut!

God, another site linking to Hulu videos? AWESOME, not being able to watch them and all.

Ironic that the video is of a cat circus in Moscow but no one outside of the United States can view it! :-)

I am dead in the middle of the US and I don't have any trouble watching this or any other Hulu video. Fix your computers.

Other than that..these kitties work hard for their owners...I see nothing wrong with that. You can tell they are well cared for and loved.

After reading the rest of your post, slaphappy, I must say that there was no extra reason to state that you're a redneck.

I live in the United State and had no problem watching this.

As for anyone who says this is mean to the cats; Since when do cats do anything they don't want to! If you say that and believe that, then you've never had a cat.

Remember cats don't have owners, they have staff.

    Steele & Slaphappy

If you had actualy read taliesyn30 post then it states the video CAN NOT be viewed OUTSIDE the USA. Check your reading skills.

lol @ JimRL - thanks for the clarification!

I would bet that the video is available on YouTube as well.... unlike Hulu that has global reach...

Anyone know why Hulu is so restricted? Servers, copyright.... que pasa?

Copyright or something. Since the site went live, they've been insisting they're working on International availability. I reckon it's baloney. Hulu will probably never be available to anyone outside the US. Sigh.

All we outsiders know of Hulu is that it is the premier worldwide supplier of pointless copyright notices.

I saw this in Chicago... my wife thought it would be nice for the kids. It was the WORST piece of theater EVER... schlocky, boring, trite, and frankly the cats didn't do much relative to the dogs that were also on stage. But the handlers and clowns were the most annoying people on earth.

    The WORST I tell you.

Another one here outside the US. Nothing on Hulu is viewable here in Canada. Booo.

    From the Hulu site:

    "International
For now, Hulu is a U.S. service only. That said, our intention is to make Hulu's growing content lineup available worldwide. This requires clearing the rights for each show or film in each specific geography and will take time. We're encouraged by how many content providers have already been working along these lines so that their programs can be available over the Internet to a much larger, global audience. The Hulu team is committed to making great programming available across the globe."

Look for something internationally available FIRST before posting (i.e. not Hulu).

Why put something up with is only accessible to certain visitors? Posting a video which required a subscription from another website wouldn't work for Neatorama. So why post something from Hulu, where a paid subscription isn't even possible?

It's all fun and games until someone gets a cat hair in their borscht.

Re: Update. The Hulu video and the Youtube video are entirely different. They are about the same subject but have no footage in common.

"...but have no footage in common."

What? The cats have interchangeable feet? Cool.

This site should not be posting videos that can not be seen by all.

However, hulu rocks. I'm not sure what makes it evil. Each country has it's own set of copyright laws. I'm sure it takes a battery of international lawyers to wade through the crap.

I'm off to watch an episode of The Tick on hulu.
