Cupcake Cones

Love iced cream cones but hate the iced cream? Then you'll love these Cupcake cones on Instructables with plenty of instructions (naturally) to make your own sweettreats at home.
Delicious, clever, and surprising, these cupcakes impersonating ice cream cones are sure to delight!

Now that's a quote that I can't begin to dispute.

We had these at our wedding instead of a cake. My sister's friend made them. She used yellow cake mix in candy-colored cake cups with chocolate and vanilla frosting. They were outrageously fun and tasty. Everybody knew they were cupcakes, so there were no unpleasant surprises of people expecting it to be ice cream.

Doesn't appeal to me either. I like icecream in my cone. And I like cupcakes to be well.. not in a cone. Love it when it melts just a little, getting in to the bottom. Not making it too soggy to the point where it's gross or anything, just a little bit of melted stuff, then eat it in one bite (the bottom).. sigh.. YUM.

My mom made these for me to take to school on my birthday several times. She also did pudding-filled cones with sprinkles on top. Both were big hits with the kids. The teachers appreciated that there were no wrappers or plates or utensils to clean up.

Sah-weet! Never seen these before, but they got me very excited to try one! The worse thing about a cupcake is peeling off the paper and having to get your fingers all messy from the cake, this is the answer to that.

What's horrible about these is that the cone always is stale by the time it goes through the cooking process. Trying to eat the cone is like pulling on rubber.
