46/100 I've got quite a bit of work to do. Good thing I'm seriously considering installing Fedora Core 8 64 bit on the next machine I'm building. Then I'll be able to cross off #23.

Does it count as 100 if you can afford to hire a nerd/geek/dork to do them for you?

I got 56, even though I don't ever think of myself a computer whiz or fountain of pop culture trivia. Heh, guess I am.

Looking at the results of all you lot, I'm not quite sure if I should be deeply ashamed of myself. Or that I'm just totally different- a visitor from another universe than yours.... :-)

I got about 70 but feel that a better list would have a lot more different kinds of geekdom and not just computer stuff.

I definitely have a zombie plan. Not a robot one, though. I guess I've always figured that with robots, there isn't really anything I can do.

But I always size up new buildings for the potential resistance to zombies.

I hate to say it. But several of the things on this list are not geeky at all. They just seem to be something he has arbitrarily decided are geeky. Also, using a soldering iron next to a baby just seem irresponsible. A true geek would know there are other search engines besides google and how to use them.

I can do many of those things, probably 95%. Does make me an uber-geek or something? I don't know if that's a good thing or not...

I stopped reading after I said, "Yep" to the first ten. But, then again, I do all of that for a living.

I believe my score was a 29 when I didn't do the "award yourself points for something you think you could google how to do" thing, and a 56 or so when I did. Not including, of course, googling the answer to questions such as "knowing what a grue is."

Now let's see what numbers apply to me...:
19. Use any piece of technology intuitively, without instruction or prior knowledge. As long as it is NOT computer- or electronix related...
29. Run AWAY AS FAST AND PANICING AS I CAN FROM more than two monitors on a single computer.
30. Successfully disassemble a laptop....
45. Build amazing structures with LEGO and invent a compelling back story for the creation. ... I leave the compelling story up to my kids...
46. Understand that it is LEGO, not Lego, Legos, or Lego’s. Yep- to utmost frustration of my wife...
51. Assemble IKEA furniture without looking at the instructions. Bonus point if you don’t have to backtrack. Yep, but you definitely don't want to hear all the swearing that I utter while doing it...
65. Solve a Rubik’s Cube- Does disassembling it and putting it correctly together also count als "to solve"...?
99. Talk about things that aren’t tech related. Yes- Mostly as long as they are not computer-related...

7 ... wel, 4 or 5.5 skills out of 100 depending how you count. :-)
