yann travaille`s work is a masterpiece. i have fallen in love with the unusuall art. i disagree with all folk thet dislike the work. i belive yann has worked very hard to produce such wonderful work !!! my vote is 100% !! KEEP THE HARD WORK UP YANN TRAVAILLE !!!!!

Tattoos are a form of art.
What’s to say that this isn’t beautiful?
I love it. It’s a different spin on the very saturated and trite works of art you can find elsewhere.

what the hell is a “regular tattoo”? art is subjective. and tattooing is an art form… the same reason that there ar paintings in the national museum of art of a white canvas with a tiny black suare in the middle. As a tattoo artist, i can tell you that the tattoos are done very well!! the art is for the person getting them to like, not you. dont judge the content, judge the art it self. His ART and his TATTOO work, is alot better than many super famous tattoo artist. i love it!!

That is because those are fresh. It goes away after a few days.

I like those. Because I desgined a tattoo for myself years ago that was done in crayon, and it was simple.
on a smaller scale though the shark one would be great.

The one on the upper right looks as though it is incomplete and may be in the process of a cover job. It appears that the original tat is maybe a baby face.

They do have that hello kitty emo vibe that I too would associate w/ Hot Topic.

I like this guys work, the designs are whimsical and the tattoos are very well done.

They look like doodles. Some of them are really lovely, very clean and simple. I have tattoos, so I can really appreciate how much work went into some of these, although most of them are not designs I’d want as they are a little too “Hot Topic” for my tastes. The “Guernica” artwork really caught my eye, although that, of course, is Picasso.

The designs are quite intricate and beautiful when you look deeply enough, like a lot of art, but not as a tattoo. However, to each their own and since all tatoos are a matter of taste these are no different than a rose or a cartoon character but forty years later most won’t be happy with them.

I don’t care for most of them; I like the drawings, I just think they’re kind of… stupid as tattoos. However, the vines on the shoulder in gallery 7 are really sort of beautiful. I’d rather see it on a slightly smaller scale and minus the red parts, but as it is, I don’t think it’s bad at all.

Some of the others are just a great big mess, though.

I like his style, but I’m not sure if human skin is the best medium for his drawings. Moreover, the fact that some of the pics seem to have been taken right after the tattoo was made is kind of off-putting because the skin looks reddened and irritated.
