Famous Moustaches Shaved Off (Virtually)

Posted by Alex in Everything Else on June 20, 2009 at 2:17 pm

Some moustaches are so iconic that they are an essential part – calling cards, if you will – of some men’s characters. Shaving them off seems unthinkable and would yield these men as mere shells of their former selves (I’m looking at you, Alex Trebek).

Thanks to a little photoshoppery, we no longer have to imagine what famous characters from history would look like without their ’staches.

GEARFUSE blog has 6 of these disturbing images. You’ve been warned: Link | More at English Russia

Trebek shaved his off a few years back, then had a false one for the first half of an April 1 episode. It was featured on a recent "Ask Alex" segment.

Weird that without a mustache, Stalin is revealed to have a surreal mouth.

Hitler looks a lot less "Hitlery", now all he needs is a more bouffant hairdo.

Moustache-less Hitler is a dead ringer for the actor Michael Emerson.

What would Madonna look like if they put her mustache back on?

Stalin's was only "disturbing" because of how bad of a photoshop disaster it was
