The Scarlet red beret is also worn/belongs to the men of Air Force Special Operations Command. They are the air to ground interface for small units like the Army Special Forces, or the Navy Seals, or any small unit deployed behind enemy lines. Combat Controllers…first there.

@ helimx – The Mystery Sales are announced on the main blog page http://www.neatorama.com/ as a regular post. It is only for a few days. It is every once in a while.

That would be an awesome mystery sale item!! That would definitely sort out the “whiners”. If you dont want to possibly win a squirrel – dont order!

@ Brad –
Did you know that some people, hunt and eat squirrel? Animal cruelty?

And in places like Britain, they allow for the killing of Grey squirrels, because they have become and “invasive species”.

And I know that squirrels are “hunted” because they are a pest to people with farms.

Why not use the dead animal for something entertaining.

It’s a red beret because he was harvested at Christmas.

It makes sense that he’s airborne – maybe he was killed by the squirrel catapult.

I know this is a small detail, but the red beret (actually it is maroon) is for airborne soldiers, special forces wear green berets.

Um, what? Harvested? *shudder* Thanks for the image. I just imagined rows and rows of squirrels being plucked when they’re ripe, like corn. Squirrel farms.
