Man builds miniature Paris in his own backyard

By Queuebot in Art on Jun 4, 2009 at 10:25 pm

When he was a teenager, Gerard Brion began to build a scale model of Paris in his own backyard, using baby food jars, cinder blocks and other trash. 15 years later, Brion has created a true work of art that’s become quite a tourist attraction in the village where he lives in southern France. His backyard features miniatures of such landmarks as the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, and the buildings even light up at night! (Well, what else would you expect from the famed "City of Lights"?)

I live in Paris and it’s hardly a city of lights… more like a city of lots of very obnoxious staring people

What this guy did is impressive though… can’t believe he stuck through with it for so long!
