Han Solo, P.I.

Harrison Ford has it all over Tom Selleck, if you ask me. If you are too young to remember Magnum, P.I. then you may not realize how closely this mashup follows the original opening sequence. So watch this side-by-side comparison.

I'm not capable of doing that, but this asks for answers in the Youtube-community where sitcoms like The Bold and The Beautiful, Dallas / Dinasty, the Simpsons or That 70's Show and so on show uncanny resemblances to Magnum-P.I. and Star-Wars P.I. ;-)

Forgive me: I don't see it and I don't get the whole "Star Wars" thing, the first three movies were "Good" "Kinda good" and "Ok, I guess" but the whole rest of it begs the question, IMHO (relax, keep your shirts on) "Don't you have homework due tomorrow?"

@ The El Bee En:

Now come on, whatever you think of the Star Wars franchise is one thing, but you gotta give it up for Han Solo. One of the best fictional characters ever created, and this is just brilliant compare/contrast with Magnum P.I.'s opener.

Most young people these days would probably recognize Tom Selleck as whatsername's occasional older boyfriend on Friends, and probably don't even know a thing about Magnum.

What I find odd looking back at the credits is: no major female roles? I can barely remember the show, but I remember Magnum was a bit of a tomcat. Otherwise, these credits might set off one's gaydar.
