10 Awesome Mac 'n' Cheese Creations

Posted by Queuebot in Food & Drinks on June 3, 2009 at 1:32 pm

Seriously, my arteries would need a Rooter Router if I let myself eat ever one of these that I thought were yummy (cough. ALL.). I’ve actually had the Mac ‘n’ Chese Sampler from S’MAC. Sooooo good. Next on list, the baked apple mac and cheese.

Got the blue-box blues? We thought so. That’s why we dug up the most tempting and creative recipe twists on everybody’s favorite comfort food: macaroni and cheese. Whether you like yours meaty, gourmet or even in bite-size servings, you’re sure to find something here that inspires you to think, well, outside of the box.

A restaurant in my neighborhood takes a ball of mac and cheese and deep fries it so that it's in a crispy shell. It's heart stoppingly good.

You clearly have little experience using Roto-rooters. Good post though.

I can see the apples 'n' mac being good...after all, some like to eat apple pie with Cheddar melted on top.

I have found the promised land... although it's a good thing I brought my own bacon bits and ketchup.

Articles that make bold assumptions annoy me. "Everybodies favourite comfort food".

Bollocks to you. My favourite comfort food is shepherds pie.

    I'm with ya, Woogie.

After four months solid (just out of college and broke) of eating mac and cheese and hot dogs, I vowed never, EVER, to eat that filth again!

    Barring nuclear holocaust, of course...

screen sleuth - yeah, I read it like that, too. Either that or a McDeadthings product with extra cheese.

Anyway - comfort food is home made lasagne.

S'Mac has a sampler now?!?! I am sooo sad they only opened a few months before I left NY. The brie with fig and mushrooms, cajun, and the manchego with fennel were to die for. The brownies they had delivered for them were amazing, too. I did notice that the portions had decreased quite a bit the last time I visited NY, but who needs a huge skillet of rich mac & cheese anyway? I love mine with breadcrumbs. They even let you take and bake your own. Man, I miss that place sometimes.
