The World's Weirdest Vending Machines

Posted by Queuebot in Odd News on May 29, 2009 at 9:17 pm

People buy the craziest things, especially when they come from a machine. Pictured is the Dog-o-matic, which will wash your dog while you wait.

Vending machines have been around since the first century AD. By today’s accounts, even the first vending machine, which dispensed holy water to temple visitors, was weird.

Japan is declared to have the most vending machines per capita, many sources state it's 1 per 23 people, but I have yet to find recent information on that number.

I know there were already doggy dryers, at least. We went to pick up our dog from the kennel once, just as they finished her end-of-stay bath and put her in a big appliance with a front window, warm air blowing from apparently all directions. She seemed to like it.

From the look of that pic, 'vending machine dog hates vending machine.'

lol@ Babycakes. No, the dog-drowning one is right beside it. Just don't get them confused.

OMG that poor dog will be traumatized for life. I think this would really make dogs hate baths and you may be hard pressed to get your dog in there more than once.

The used schoolgirl panty machine was then incorporated into the soup and coffee machines filtering function with overwhelming customer response.
