Nothing says "I’m a geek!" better than a custom-made geeky license plate. Here are 12 awesomely geeky license plates for your viewing pleasure.

Spotting silly vanity license plates is always a fun activity, especially double-innuendo or borderline-obscene ones. But some of the best still come from those who show their geek pride on their bumpers.

    Just saw one the other day on a 2005-ish BMW with a middle aged Latino woman driving: "SATAN". wtf?

    Faves from the past are a VW spotted on the San Mateo bridge: RED C PED

    And a likely Pixar employee's: The plate's frame said "TO" on the top edge, "AND BEYOND" on the bottom edge, and "INFINITY" on the plate itself. And yes, the car was an Infinity.

    Can't believe people are dumb enough to pay EXTRA just for a stupid license plate.

    Mine reads WWFZD. No one's gotten it yet, unfortunately.

    W hat would Fuzzy Zoeller do? Lose a game and then tell the press some racial stereotypes about the winner.

    Guess I must not be a Geek...

    Can some OTHER dork enlighten me about:

    CSS503
    SU ROOT
    UBR L33T

    I don't want to feel left out !

    @Gauldar

    Great link. Now there's a sentiment more cheaply expressed in a bumper sticker.

    I figure they wouldn't go for ILVORAL, either.

    @seefish3 - Here's what I think are the translations:

    SU ROOT = Superuser Root (Root account is a special admin account with all privileges)

    UBR L33T = Uber Leet, with "leet" derived from "elite" status on Bulletin Board Systems before the Internet came into being.

    I'm guessing on this one: CSS 503 = CSS is Cascading Style Sheet, a file that tells your browser how to render a webpage. 503 seems to be an HTTP error code (Service temporarily unavailable). CSS503 is also a Cisco Server Rack. I'm thinking this one plate isn't truly a custom plate ...

    1001010 = 74. Am I missing something here?

    Thanks Alex!

    Now I don't feel so bad. I still don't understand what half of your explanations mean, but it all seems job related. So if I had a plate "WFL TR33", other engraving press operators would know it meant "whiffle tree" and buy me drinks 'cause I'm cool? I'm on it!

    @Vonskippy: Because we obviously have expendable income & nothing better to do with it - duh!

    I can't believe people are stupid enough to bitch & moan about what others do with their own property & earnings.

    @ earl - Yes, a slight shift of the zero's and one's.

    1000101 = 69

    "Bow-Chicka-Wow-Wow" as they say
