I ran across this excellent tutorial while looking for things to do with unwanted phone books (for some inexplicable reason, they magically show up at my doorstep year after year).

    well we gotta use phonebooks some how, the idiots keep printing them and wasting paper.

    There's always the option of leafing the pages together and trying to pull two books apart like was demonstrated on Mythbusters with military vehicles doing the pulling.
