Wow, most of you are incredibly uptight and ignorant of fetish and your missing all the fun. I know several beautiful girls that are into wool and cashmere and sweaters in general, just like people are into leather and rubber. It's an erotic enhancement, you never heard of the 40's and 50's "sweater girl", that's basically what it's about, a soft, animalistic attraction to the body wrapped in a tight sweater, it's sexy and people all over the world love it. Some people, more than you think, are very creative and love sex so they take a thing like attraction to sweater girls and enhance the attraction with a fetish, a heightening of a natural impulse, to love women who have, for example, beautiful breasts while wearing sweaters.

The heavy wool "enclosure" or "itchy" thing is often mixed with bondage, another very creative outlet for the sweater lover, in that sweaters can feel "restrictive" as well as comforting, and the itch can be a part of the humiliation and suffering, all very creative and intense when practicing with a loved one. Most people who are on this level are far above the madding crowd of conservative party poopers and boring losers who spend their time name calling and making fun of things they fear or don't understand.

Most of you really need to read up on all of this and broaden your erotic horizons or the next time you meet a new lover your conservatism, ignorance of fantasy and role play and fetish and your judgmental behavior, is going to put her to sleep.

If "it all exists between consenting adults". There's the problem. You can't tell when someone's face is entirely covered in wool.

I think the anonymity has something to do with it. It certainly dehumanizes you. You could as easily have sex with your couch - and that could be any type of comfortable material. I remember one leather couch as soft as butter... mmm, butter.

I thought about that too, Noelegy. I would imagine that even in colder climes, that it would get uncomfortable if one even had the heating on when they encased themselves in wool. Being one of those people that hates to put on a jacket unless it's absolutely necessary, it's hard for me to wrap my head around this entire concept. But I agree, if no one is getting hurt and it all exists between consenting adults, I don't think it would be fair to criticize it.

Whoops, hit "Submit" before I remembered to say that this is not likely a fetish that takes place in southern climes. In fact, I seriously doubt it could even evolve there.

Huh, its like the opposite of sensory deprivation, maybe? I think I'd like to try it, but feh a woolsuit seems like it'd be expensive, and I wouldn't want a used one. .

nono, I am quite open minded to differing tastes than my own...however this one was just the straw that broke the camels back, to blame this one alone is sorta unfair.
But lets explore some reality here.

And lets remember what context we are talking here these folks don't just like winter clothing-they are aroused by itchy uncomfortable wool.

Jason Pike- you had a sexual fetish at the age of 8?
that is WAY too much info to begin with.

Okay... yeah. Laugh it up - but you just don't understand. I've had this fetish for more than 30 years (since I was 8). I don't hurt anyone and it's fun - plus it makes the winter a blast! Where else can you wear a sweater to work -- and really enjoy it? My preference is cashmere and angora.. and wool.. can't stand cotton. But all we ask is that you don't knock it until you meet someone who has this fetish. I have it... and it's awesome.

Wow. If these weren't...ummm...for "adult funtime" uses then I'd buy a white one just so when it snows heavily I can walk around and see if I can have people claim on the news claim they saw a White Sasquatch walking down Bloor Street in Toronto.

Fetishes, or whatever weird habits, are just cultures in formation.

If the article portray these people as some weird Norwegian tribes or some Siberian tradition, most people will probably like, "Aha, that's why! Fascinating! Neat! Makes me want to knit, etc." and then not think about it anymore.

But when the habit is anchored to fetish or sex, most people will be like, "Eww, gross, these people are sick, etc." Makes me wonder how many people actually practice abstinence, because for the longest time I still thought virginity was a virtue, and thought anybody who watches porn (like 80% of world population) are the sickest people in the world. :p

I've always found fetishes fascinating, and this one is right up there! Like Evilbeagle, I'd be really curious about how these people think about their fetishes. Whatever floats your boat, as long as it's consensual, is what I've always said!

I think it's wonderful that people are able to embrace their fetishes when they can, because pretending they don't exist causes all sorts of other mental problems.

It's not disturbing, it's just different. About as different as other cultures enjoying weird foods, but certainly nothing to be scared of. Just be happy they're happy. Don't you wish others to be happy?

Seems pretty similar to the "Furries" fetish as far as the way it looks, though of course the origins are likely quite different.

I'm not sure I came to Neatorama to learn about unorthodox sex fetishes. These pictures are reminiscent of bondage, and, due to their sexual nature, could be illegal to post if the people inside those outfits are underage.

Now you'll have to devote equal time to pictures of bestiality - after all, aren't sheep the original owners of that wool?

I personally never have experienced my woolen clothes as itchy scratchy. I find it highly comfortable and very good in the temperature regulation- a bit cooling or at least heat-retardent in summer and warm in winter.

...But to go about like these Woolies... Nnnnnahh... This is reason to take another VERY critical look at my own woolen socks, 2 or 3 woolen sweaters and caps...

To each his own, because it's not my place to judge how people get their kicks if they aren't hurting anyone. But seriously, why? I'm just trying to get my head around what experiences in a person's life could possibly lead them to develop a wool fetish. It would actually be fascinating to hear why, and I am not trying to be funny or sarcastic. I'm serious.
