    Mangos have the same chemical in them that poison ivy does. Every time my wife eats one she gets a rash around her lips.

    With the Mentos and Soda trick, they fail to mention that it does have to be a diet cola, and not just any carbonated beverage. There’s a chemical used in making diet flavored cola that is a catalyst in causing the reaction when mixed with mint flavored Mentos.

    My gut feeling is I really don’t think we should be basing the truthfulness of the bird/alka seltzer thing on some random person named “halsca” on answers.yahoo.com. Just a thought.
