Lawls Ted. In fact, I believe all the bodily functions that this thing could potentially be used for were thoughtfully covered. It's just a sink after all... ableit one that will make people wonder, "Do I pee on this thing?".

Gail Pink, the floor mess will start as soon as the drain starts being blocked by whatever dirt will collect underneath the grille. And even in the perfect state shown in the picture at least some water will splash. If the place is not cleaned virtually after every other user, it will look shabby very soon, with either water around the drain or the stains you get when soapy water dries on glossy surfaces.

For those hypothesizing about the "splash/mess" left on the floor, I am sure the designer allowed for a solution to that possible problem in the creation of the sink's shape. I doubt there is much floor mess.

Although peeing in it was the first thought, the second thought was what other unusual uses could this be put to. I wonder if it's strong enough for the weight of two people.

How long before the floor drain is clogged by hairs, bits of paper towels and all the other crap you find in public restrooms? How thorough will the cleaning staff be? My bet is that this thing will look nifty for about three days, then it will be one of those 'looked like a good idea at the time' failures.

So close, but it has never had water run through it. A bit longer on the left with a touch higher slope. A spout on the right with a grate parallel to the flow instead of perpendicular.

Ah well, someone will perfect it someday.

Actually, you can get an airport Brazilian in 8 locations inside New York's JFK airport and two at LaGuardia. And Amsterdam Schiphol, Dallas/Ft. Think about it....it's not practical at all.

First of all, nobody fills the sink with hot water anymore...especially in a public bathroom.
Also, the water coming off the end is going to splash off the "drain" onto the floor making a big mess. Not to mention cleaning the stupid thing.

But it does look cool...

Practical for a public sink. I was thinking more in terms of home use. Besides washing my hands the main things I use my bathroom sink for is shaving and brushing my teeth. I dont think this sink would be suited very well for either of those activities.

How is it impractical? It's not like people will be needing a basin at a public restroom. I probably use a half cup worth of water at the sink when I wash my hands. I think it's clever.

My college roomates would have disputed the notion that one required a special sink to pee into. Our ordinary bathroom sink suited them just fine.

Everyone else apparently preferred the elevator.
