What I get from most of these comments is people who just like to criticize other people to make themselves feel big. Talking about the speed of an actual bullet and an airsoft bb is just off topic. Both are projected from a gun. Then one of the most ridiculous comments;

"If he can see it well enough to cut it with his sword it begs the question as to WHY he would want to? Wouldn’t a real samurai just dodge it and not risk his blade?"

It seems to me that you all are missing the point. This demostration is for show. And everything that he does is very difficult. Let's see any of you or even anyone trained in kenjutsu cut an airsoft bullet in flight. Or a pea pod in half for that matter. How old are you kids, like 10 or 12? Because that's what it sounds like.

300 feet/s = ca. 100 meters/sec
Doesn't make your argument invalid, but one of your offered numbers is wrong

he cuts the paintball sized thing at the beginning of the vid and I thought it was not very impressive but if you watch it through he cuts a bb sized projectile in one of the challenges and while it moves much slower than a bullet I was amazed that he could even see it to cut it with the added challenge of starting with his sword sheathed.

It wasn't a bullet. It was a solid "paint" ball

After all the fictional and cartoon samaurai I've seen, it was great to catch a real swordsman in action.

Very cool. Each challenge was more impressive than the last and I wanted to see more.

Its an airsoft bb that travels slower than a bullet but is also smaller. I thought it was interesting that you could see a little puff of smoke come from the wood block when he cut the pipe in two. Also made me laugh when the host used the english "super slo mo"
