If you must have a cord running across the floor for some reason, this seems like a good way to make it less of a trip hazard as it’ll be more visible. But it also makes cables take up more space and (in my opinion) look uglier. I wonder if there are snap-on beads that don’t require removing the plug to thread them? This would seem a lot safer to me if that were the case.

Pardon my typical American ignorance, so does that mean that every appliance is separately fused ? Sounds safer. Why don’t WE do that ?

My, my, those Europeans certainly have large plugs, don’t they ?

I’m of two minds about this one: my anal side hates cord clutter, but my paranoid side would worry about concealing wear and tear, especially after removing one end to thread the beads.

Guess I’ll have to pass…
