Here is a really neat PSA from the “International Fund for Animal Welfare” from Germany concerning the trafficking and buying of products made from protected and endangered animals such as the Elephant. Air Dumbo now landing!

What a rubbish ad. “If they wanted too, they’d come.”

What a crock. When was the last time you met an elephant with a passport? I mean for starters they can’t fit into those little photo booths, and then they have to find a notable member of the community to validate the photo for them and sign it, and elephants have a hellish time using pens.

The only reason they’re not here is bloody bureaucracy. Let’s see these charity groups start with the REAL issue. Elephants getting passports!

@ Woogle: well said! I second that notion.

    I’m totally not getting this.

Is it a dig at eco-tourism?

    Maybe a translation glitch?

    Nice effects work, though…

@Seefish3, it says right in the post that this ad concerns “the trafficking and buying of products made from protected and endangered animals such as the Elephant.” meaning don’t buy Ivory or Gorilla paws made into ash trays. That kind of thing.

Screw that. I like my elephant steaks!

Sorry,Gail,it’s still a stretch to link an apparently happy, healthy, flying elephant with poaching. Besides, the Cliff notes don’t appear in the ad, do they?

I’m just saying that the ad does not convey that information effectively enough.

Alright, I’m wrong. the last bit of text states “Animals are not souvenirs.” Must have missed that in my mad rush to be a wise-ass.
