Hey Max, I’m sure you’d like to tell that to Casper, my six year old tabby point, who sits, shakes, and lays down on command. I trained him with treats, like you train any other mammal, but he doesn’t need the reinforcement at this point.

Their no dumber than dogs, and no less amenable to training.

Not so sure looping the same 1-second shots of cats putting their paws on musical instruments is evidence of “training”. Cats are basically lizards with fur. The only way a cat will do what you tell it to is if it happens to feel like doing that particular thing at the time. Anyone who thinks they have trained a cat is probably delusional and should seek professional help.

However the cat playing the drums looked like he had taken a lesson or two…
