World’s Scariest, Highest, and Fastest Roller Coasters

These monstrous beasts defy the laws of
gravity, making our brains slosh around in our craniums. Sounds fun right?

There was a time when I was child that I was terrified of these wooden and metal beasts. My Dad made me ride the Gemini at Cedar Point when I was barely tall enough to ride. On the way down the first hill, I started to lift out of my seat and the bar started to come loose. I started to scream bloody murder, and for the rest of the day, I couldn’t even look at another ride.

I’ve noticed that some of the better rollercoasters smell of vomit.

I remember when I was small there was that swinging boat ride at Canada’s Wonderland amusment park and I had a simlar experience of being lifted out of my seat I held on for deer life… lol. I was shakey after that, didn’t want to go on it ever again. It hardly goes as high as it did before, probibly so they didn’t have to raise the passenger ride limit hight.

Love roller coasters, I think they just might be mankind’s greatest invention. The only problem is the scarcity of them. It’s like a huge ordeal just to get to the good parks.

I used to love rollarcoasters when I was younger, now… I’m too paranoid to get on one lol.
Just looking at the photos of some of those gave me that sinking feeling in my stomach :P

When I was 10 one of those parking lot travelling midways showed up, and I got into that ride that’s like a 40 foot pole with cars jutting out from the center spinning around at different elevations. It became apparent after a few seconds that I was beginning to lift out of the ride and hung on for fear life – the crossbar didn’t touch my waist at all. I’ve been on rollercoasters since then but I’ll never ride something that can be put on wheels and hauled away.

Thanks so much for the comments everyone. This was a fun one to write. It’s amazing that an experience like this didn’t stop me from riding coaster’s when I was an adult

I remember seeing the Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point from the side and the thing was swinging like a couple feet side to side. Add to that the fact that they would stop it for maintenance every so often, and it made for some serious scare factor for the coaster.
