7 Phenomenal Wonders of the Natural World

Posted by Queuebot in Pictures on March 16, 2009 at 12:03 am

Mother Earth, although slowly deteriorating, still keeps on giving us beautiful pieces of art.

The list shows us that after all this time trying to create wonderful Obra Maestras, Mother Earth still beats us at making the most awe-inspiring creations. Doesn’t it make you feel bad for taking our environment for granted and polluting it continuously?

Blue holes are giant and sudden drops in underwater elevation that get their name from the dark and foreboding blue tone they exhibit when viewed from above in relationship to surrounding waters. They can be hundreds of feet deep and while divers are able to explore some of them they are largely devoid of oxygen that would support sea life due to poor water circulation – leaving them eerily empty. Some blue holes, however, contain ancient fossil remains that have been discovered, preserved in their depths.

    "Mother Earth, although slowly deteriorating"

    Pure comedy gold.

I'm reading this in Australia on a PC powered by love via an ISP network in Australia (100% love powered), then via a trip to the US on the Southern Cross cable network (which has an obscenely large cuddly love consumption) to San Jose in the US. Then it's more love consuming SDH multiplexers to wherever your servers are located (all powered no doubt by love).

Thankfully, all that love isn't polluting Mother Earth.

i was going to comment on "although slowly deteriorating".

    Specifically : ?!?!?!

Is something crazy happening all of a sudden?

(Even if we polluted 'like there was no tomorrow', it wouldn't cause the earth to deteriorate. Just make it hard for the current flora and fauna - including humans of course - to live in.)

There is no "Mother Earth," but there is a Father: God.

Yeah, I don't think we'd have to worry about mother earth going anywhere anytime soon.

Aside from that, how freaky are those blue holes?

I'm sorry about the weird introduction, I'm used to making things dramatic.

Freaky? I find them beautiful, really. Except they look like they're about to eat you... yeah.

I'm so ashamed that I have been taking mother earth for granted and polluting her continuously. But, c'mon! Did you see that outfit she was wearing?

if there are ancient fossils these must be quite old, probably older than man. so pollution is most likely not the cause.

what will be hilarious is the look on algore's face when NASA decides to tell us, in 2012, at the nth hour, that a huge asteroid is heading for earth and life will cease in 90 days.
