McCann Erickson of Madrid produced this commercial for Coke, but you can easily pretend it’s not an ad. -via YesButNoButYes

Only in the feel-good advertising world do children and extremely old people have a platform to tell us all that life is fragile and we should be thankful.

I’m confused…is the old man the father of the baby?

If not, where is the father?

Randy B, not the father, since he had to travel from Mallorca to Madrid to see the baby. Maybe he’s the great-great-grandfather!

Guarantee you he didn’t live to br 102 by drinking Coca Cola every day. It’s a great message, but it’s sickly ironic that it is brought my a company that does more to destroy public health and steal happiness than almost any corporation in the world.

Short of the alcohol or tobacco industries. Alot of life affirming ads for their products as well.

Regardless, this one was especially warm and fuzzy.

This is why if I do drink soda (not so often), I’ll have Coke over Pepsi any day. Coke’s ads have that feel good, United Colors of Benetton effect, whereas Pepsi prefers negative campaigning, against Coke.

This made me cry… What a beautiful short film.

This is the future, folks… if we’re all TIVOing and watching on youtube and not stopping to watch commercials, or not paying to watch it in theatres… then how can there be any money to make beautiful short films? With sponsorship like this!
