As far as I know there were no scams being run in my store. Any sales being run by the company went away and all prices reflected the prices we have been given as the original price. True quite a few items went up in price on the first day due to the lack of sales that people have taken for granted. Laptops at 10% off were still more than Circuit City sold them for normally, and some customers had the gall to complain about it. Being an associate that has just lost my job without warning sans http://www.cnn.com/ I honestly didn’t care.

I always love seeing pictures of this, they have a great way of bringing nature back to the city. I wish Toronto would do this, but I don’t know what the maintenance would be like regarding snow.

In the beginning of a liquidation sale, prices actually tend to be higher than other places (liquidators will actually often bring in new inventory, marked higher, just for the "liquidation sale"). Later in the going out of business sale, prices are low as they're in the "let's get rid of everything" (i.e. liquidation) phase.

I’m told they’re running the classic liquidation scam of posting vastly inflated prices, then discounting them so they’re at or above the usual market rate for that item. There’s always some sucker who things it’s a bargain…
