I too am perplexed at the “fake” Basque comment. Clarification please?

If you examine the anthropological literature on this subject, you find that most of these so-called “feral” children are either abandoned and living on the edges of their society, or deliberate hoaxes to “prove” some point in the nature-nurture debates.

Lobster boy, Herb from new jersey, author of ” The lobster and the chicken” a fable for adults in search of enlightenment. I was not born a lobster but became very “shellfish” growing up. This is all fascinating, but do you have any credible sources for your information? I could tell you about the time some people found a green-skinned wolf-girl behind their house in the woods and raised her as their own daughter, but no one would believe my story without sources! Maybe they were listed in the magazine article, just not this reprint?

Interesting stories of feral children though some are dubious but humans tend to adapt to its environment for survival.

I just watched Francois Truffauts The Wild Child the other day for research on a school paper about Feral Children. No matter how much I’d read and thought about what they would be like, that movie paints an amazing portrait of a feral child that you can’t imagine more accurately.

Actually, I’d believe that “going feral” would cause you to grow more hair. I wear shorts religiously during the summer, and don’t have to wear long pants. During the winter, of course, I don’t wear any shorts.

During the winter, I have bald spots on my knees, and my leg hair is thinner along my calves/shins.

Clothing causes a small amount of abrasion on body hair and more so in spots with constant motion.
