Ugly Bat Boy

This cat's full name is Ugly Bat Boy, and he lives at Exeter Veterinary Hospital in New Hampshire. His owner, veterinarian Stephen Bassett says that he is normal in every way, except that he's ugly. The eight-year-old cat is bald in most places, but has a long flowing "mane" on his chest. Ugly has become a local celebrity. Veterinary employee Christie Hartnett calls him "Dr. Bassett's little wonder cat."
Workers said many people who come into the building can't really believe what they're seeing. But they said despite appearances, Bat Boy has a nice disposition and real inner beauty.

"The impression from clients that come in is he's not real because he just sits so still, and when he does move, he scares them, but they think he's mesmerizing," Hartnett said.

There's no such thing as an ugly cat. I think of ugly cats like I do Bigfoot or the Loch Ness monster. I've heard of them, but never actually seen one and I don't believe they exist! :-)

It's funny, I've been going to this vet for years with my various pets, and I've never seen Ugly, although they do have a few other old cats that wander around and enjoy the company. I'll definitely look for him the next time I visit. I'm tempted to call them and let them know that they're all over the Internet, but they probably know by now anyway ^_^. Even though I live in MA, I still drive up to Exeter for the vet visits - these guys knock the pants off all the local MA vets, both in skill/care and costs (shameless plug ^_^).

This little man deserves a more respectful name. He's missing fur that's all....if you shaved the fur off of any animal they'd look different....not ugly. He's unique, he's a star... :)

I've seen Chinese Chrested dogs look worse than this cat and they have few if any teeth and their tongues hang out and they need sunscreen and coats for outside.

This critter's fur looks a little like a Main Coon. Well I don't care what breed he is, he has a face anyone would love. I hope though no one tries to 'make' this a breed. It would be cruel. His uniquness should be admired only.

A cat owner myself of a beautiful Balinese Siamese, I'd cuddle up with this cat anytime. There are only ugly dogs. There's no such thing to me as an ugly cat.
