Those werent mimes, theyre a dance crew called the Jabberwockys. Though, the general tv audience probably is not familiar with them and just thought wtf is with the mimes. lol

I love Monty Python and The Holy Grail. I hate these ads. I saw it on tv and though it was pointless and ineffective.

That seems to be what Gatorade is trying for. The last campaign for “G” left so many people just scratching their heads because they had no idea what “G” was. The ad was a long line of athletes, actors, singers, dancers etc. against a black background with a boring voice over that did not give any clue about what the product was and offered no information on how to find out.

Since the word “Brilliant” was used before the word “Parody” in the description you wrote, I take it your mean “a humorous or satirical imitation of a serious piece of literature or writing”. I have to disagree, and propose you change :brilliant” to “dimwitted and dull”– which would more accurately describe the type of parody it is – a “a poor or feeble imitation or semblance”.

This is a typical piece of advertising plagiarism… without an idea of their own; they steal someone else’s idea and then make a mess of it.

Blech, that was a waste of 10 minutes. It’s a funny idea, but they just copied jokes, and poorly at that. Not to mention repeating Holy Grail jokes has been done and overdone for decades now, so it’s even less funny than it would be otherwise. Don’t waste your time with this.
