Forget flowers: Say it with stickies!

Somebody in Antigua, Guatemala found an eye-catching way to profess his love.  Each of the sticky notes covering this wall is inscribed with the message "Te amo, Cristina."

This photo won honorable mention in the National Geographic International Photo Contest 2008, in the Places category.

It's a amazing the power sticky notes have. My friends and I covered our co-workers/friends office with sticky notes for her birthday. I believe she loved and hated it all at the same time.

This reminds me of "heart-attacks" that friends would do in college. If there was a certain someone you liked you would cover their door in hearts with similar messages.

Two of my friends married each other after such an attack.

My (then) boyfriend did something like this for me when we lived together ... wrote I love you or I "heart" you or smiley heart faces, etc on an entire stack of mini Post-its and left them on the inside of the front door before he left for work. I found them when I got up later to go to school. Ten years later, it is still one of the most romantic things any man has ever done for me. Thanks for the memory :)

I don't know when the picture above was taken, but I published a similar shot from Antigua Guatemala on my site. Check it out!
