Light Saber Umbrellas

Posted by Queuebot in Everything Else on January 29, 2009 at 6:49 am

Just in case you ever find yourself caught in both a rainstorm and Jedi fight, someone has created these $40 Light Saber Umbrellas.

Via Geekologie, which hilariously asks "when rain hits a lightsaber does it crackle and pop like a bug-zapper? That's what I imagine."

    Star Wars fans?
I'd rather say Blade Runner fans...

Agree @ Creamy. But I also think half the light tube should be blacked out or reflective, I cant imagine what it'd do to your night vision to have a glowing stick a foot from your face.

The rain would evaporate on contact with the beam itself, depending on the lightsaber and how hard it's raining it could short out if water leaks into the hilt.

I also immediately thought of Blade Runner.

They've had the Blade Runner ones available on ThinkGeek for awhile.

These look more like "genuine" light sabre unbrellas due to the handle.

Would be definitely something cool to have on a rainy night.
