Ah, but drivers like powerful cars because “It allows them to accellerate out of trouble”. That’ll be why powerful cars are so much cheaper to insure, then – they’re so much safer.

I also have to ad that for my 40+ years on this earth I never ONCE saw a decent Saab driver. However my parents who are both good older drivers did recently get their first and only Saab. They will be selling soon though as it was only a winter beater (168k miles)

It’s certainly the type of people to drive the car. In Canada I find Mustang owners to consistently be jerks. Hummer drivers are right up there, but you don’t see those too often.

I dunno about in the US but in the UK there is a direct correlation between ownership of a BMW and being a relentless tool in every automotive situation.
