Minas Tirith Cake

I’m not a huge Lord of the Rings fan, but this is simply gorgeous. Cakewrecks is on the hunt for the baker of this beauty, so if you have any leads, leave them a comment.

Link, where you will find several other cool LOTR cakes

I kind of want to worship it, but also to launch at it in a massive hunger.

At the risk of being all “Debby Downer”, most of these “awesome cakes” are just fondant sculpture with a bit of cake buried somewhere beneath.

For once, I’d like to see an awesome cake that’s ONLY cake. No frosting. No fondant. Just pure, raw, naked cake. Because I love cake.

Yah it is most probably just fondant, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s still pretty darn awesome! lol
It would be interesting to see what someone could do with JUST a cake and regular icing.

I’ll take one made out of modeling clay. That is some skill, especially with all the details.
