If you think that living in Penistone is tough, imagine if you live on a street named Butts Wynd (yes, a real one in St. Andrews, Scotland) or Dingleberry Road (in Iowa City, Iowa). This one to the left, Psycho Path (someone has a sense of humor) is in Traverse City, Michigan.

I’m very familiar with Butts Wynd in St Andrews, which is also home to Doubledykes Road (dyke being a wall in Scots).
But nothing beats Hammerman’s Entry in Edinburgh, I reckon.

There are a couple of weird street names in Austin, TX. Two I can remember off the top of my head: Slaughter Lane, and Convict Hill.

Not the worst, but very funny. In Houston, TX there is an intersection of Clinton Drive and Fidelity Road. A more unlikely combination of words it is hard to imagine.

We have a church near where I live that is the sole resident of Boogertop Hill Rd.

Oh and I almost forgot we have two small towns near me called Twixt and Between.

A friend lives on a street called Lois Lane. It’s easy to find; just go up Chuck Road ’til you have to turn.

In the town I went to college in there was a Gay St, I’m sure when it was named that they were going for Happy.
There’s also a Holden st that intersects Gay. (snicker)
There is also this lovely Gem in Mo.
