Those are Emperor scorpions (pandinus imperator, for those few who care). Their vemon is extremely weak and the arachnids themselves are docile and highly unlikely to sting unless provoked. I used to have a friend who kept some around, they were tame enough to handle without being injured. Also, the site mentioned that she was "bitten" 13 times. This is unlikely, as their mandibles are too short to reach past their nonexistant little heads. Being pinched by their claws is more likely, and speaking from experience it really isn't that bad.
