reminds me of the story of the kid who ‘hijacked’ a nyc subway, but drove it perfectly and made all the stops but one

This story reminded me of an old German story – the “Hauptmann von Köpenick”, aka Captain of Koepenick. In 1906, a German masqueraded as a Prussian military officer and fooled the people successfully.

I think it either means the bulk of the department is oblivious to what goes on around them, or they were afraid of opening their mouth and being accused of discrimination. Maybe both.

What a sad state for the Chicago police to be in that they didn’t notice a 14 year old in their midsts…

One of these things is not like the others….

Wonder what the 14 yr. old looks like and whether he looks super super old for his age?

I heard about this on the radio this morning. I don’t know if it’s more awesome or horrific that it took so long for the police to catch on.
