Saw this months ago on cuteoverload.com, it's had a couple extentions to it.

Typical cat behavior, but the music really makes it funny. :)

My best friend's cat does that! I'm the only one that can find the spot so people thought I was crazy for the longest time. Only his is further up his back and doesn't look nearly as creepy just keeps licking his lips. Do cat's even HAVE lips? Well he keeps licking something.

That scores high on the disburbosity scale. Perhaps I'm more used to dogs and their leg kicking during a good neck scratch.

My cat does that exact thing when I scratch him in the same spot - I wonder if its like being tickled or something? Weird and hilarious!

L-O-L! That cat was definitely enjoying itself...though I did see battle ears as well during the said butt scratching.

I wonder why all cats do pretty much the same thing when scratched in that spot?
Our own cat doesn't go to that extent, but he'll get all spazzy when we touch that spot... very weird.

Cats are cute and everything, but it seems they're being shown here disproportionately often. Everything in moderation!

When I scratch my dog like that, she does a funny little dance. But that cat's face in the video is hysterical.

Oh that is so funny!! Our cat did the same thing when we itched it's hind-part, but this cat's expression was really hill-airy-ass.

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but that kat may have kidney problems.

    Cats dot that because when you scratch there its sota... well... turns them on o-o;

No one ever believes me when I say this, BUT: this is not kitty arousal! Cats, like most mammals, are ticklish! You and I would probably giggle and react with our sides tickled, but that spot above their tail happens to be ticklish for them. Compare actual mating behavior to this and I'm confident you will find it is nothing alike. The cat makes "battle ears" because, well, I mean, you may like to be tickled but it also can be stressful.

my cat does the exact same thing! if you stick your hand out he licks it and gives a little love bite here and there. we asked our vet about it and she said it is almost like a cat's g-spot...interesting!

how stupid and goofy can people be? anything they don't understand is weird, stupid, lol or whatever shit in their brains may make ding-dong all day long. respect the creature as you are nothing better. be thankful. we are the ones to be responsible. damn, this shit sucks, baaaaaaaaaaaa...

the ones who are weird, lol and goofy and stupid are the ones who think the cat is.

matt is cool, but the cat is not hysteric, it is helpless.

I had a great maine coon cat who would do this same thing! The same face and everything! It was really sweet to see another kitty...reminds me of my old beloved Davita. It stimulates a nerve bundle at the base of their spine.

Funny, I'm gonna try doing this to my cat later!

Actually, I read somewhere that it is actually a mild form of epilepsy triggered by touching the very sensitive behind. I always feel really bad for these poor cats that have this problem because it looks to me like they are in pain but can't properly express it. It makes me sad...

Ezekiel: Think, if the cat were in pain it would leave. You, on the other hand, don't seem as bright, which is truly sad.

O.K., guys -- If you've been around cats "much" at all, there are 3 things going on here.

    1) Fleas tend to migrate to the head and spine above
the butt. So, you're scratching there feels good.

    2) The cat IS confused because:

    3) At least on a female cat, that is an erogoneous
zone. The scratching feels good, also arouses,
and yes, she is confused and "possibly" angry.
Often, a female will "queen" if you scratch her
back there. That is, raise her hind end which
is saying she is ready to mate. Don't know if
it's the same turn on for males or not -- haven't
liked having tom cats around for numerous reasons
    1) spraying; 2) they always get into fights

So, next time you "scratch" your female feline's back,
think 1st about "what" you're doing!

It's a nerve thing. If you scratch in the right place, you activate the licking response. Some cats are worse than others. No it's not arousal. You can do it with male or female; spade, neutered or not; adult or kitten. You just have to find the right spot. Some dogs thump their legs if you scratch in the right spot. It's the same thing.

It does work on male cat's. When I scratch that spot on my girlfriends tom he stops whatever hes about to do and he tries to raise his butt and flop over at the same time, really funny when he inadvertently (sp?)rolls off the bed as a result. But he always comes back for more.
