Hummer Made from Lottery Tickets

By Miss Cellania in Art, Auto & Transportation on Jan 17, 2009 at 9:00 am

This Hummer H3 is built from $35,000 in losing lottery tickets. No sheet metal here, folks. The piece is by Brooklyn-based artists Adam Eckstrom and Lauren Was and it’s entitled Ghost of a Dream. The tickets came from local bodegas, where they were discarded by unlucky patrons.

Or for $2375 less, they could have bought the real thing… luxury edition!

Of course, I guess that would require polling together all the money from all those people who bought the tickets in the first place.

The lottery truly is a tax on people who can’t do math.

“The lottery truly is a tax on people who can’t do math.”

And a HUMMER is truly a tax on the entire planet for people who can’t do math.
