Good idea, but I agree the bear should have an "I'm so disappointed. I know you can do better" look on it's face.

This timer has the capability to be set for up to one hour??? I see how you can use it to say, "Only ten more minutes until bedtime" or "You can play video games for 30 minutes."
However, that cute bear could potentially be an accomplice to some major cruelty and neglect for parents who may be tempted to use this timer to leave their preschoolers in time out for too long! "Only 47 minutes to go, Little Johnny..."
A time out timer (for preschoolers) would be appropriate only up to 10 minutes, tops. The rule is one minute per one year. (2 minute time outs for 2 year olds, 5 minute time outs for 5 year olds, etc.)

In my time out (which was in the bathroom, so I had nothing to play with and couldn't use needing to go as an excuse to leave the room), we had one of those kitchen timers.

As the ex-Nanny of five children I think Time Out Teddy should have an angry face. Really. I don't see the happy face as an effective tool in disciplining a child that has glued noodles and glitter to a golden retriever.
