ted "do you really think they’re stupid enough to reveal any details that would compromise security?"

The NYT and others do it every chance they get.

"You’re not older than you thought. You’re just hidebound in your attitude."

No, I just think I know the value of keeping us safe and not blabbing everything I know simply because I can.

Gauldar "I like being informed and I don’t think this is a bad thing." It can be an extremely bad thing if people die because certain information is made available to everyone. Basically I agree with what you said there. But as you hinted at some will sell our country down the river just because they can.

"The problem is not in exposing the information to the “enemy”, but finding it and fixing the weak link before the chain breaks when you least expect it." Until it is "fixed" certain info does not belong available to just anyone.

"But then again, how do we know that this is all the information there is, and not just what they don’t mind letting the public know… or what the public thinks they know." Yes indeed, the government is capable of anything. Hopefully it would be to protect us.

Moodindigo "I suspect they keep the really juicy info. to themselves." I hope they do. It's not them that I worry about. The ones that I worry about are people that feel they can put us in peril because they have certain Constitutional rights. What they forget is with rights and freedom comes responsibility. I see that all too common now.

"The Ion-repulsor drive, turbo-laser battery, cloaking device etc. Have I said too much?" I wouldn't say that but you do have a terrific imagination. GGG

BTW I like the ID, terrific tune by a master of his craft. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GohBkHaHap8

SparkS, do you really think they're stupid enough to reveal any details that would compromise security?

Or maybe, due to all the British terms in the picture (petrol, tyres, the boot), this is their revenge for the Revolutionary War.

SparkS,

Information is a commodity. Just like Wall street people are willing to slit their neighbour’s throat just to make an extra buck. People used to be satisfied with trash information from the tabloids, now they hunger for the real deal. I like being informed and I don't think this is a bad thing. The problem is not in exposing the information to the "enemy", but finding it and fixing the weak link before the chain breaks when you least expect it. But then again, how do we know that this is all the information there is, and not just what they don't mind letting the public know... or what the public thinks they know.

I must be older than I thought. It used to be people would do their utmost to keep their fellow Americans safe. For some time now it's more important to tell the world things they honestly have no need to know. Info like this can only help those that would use it to circumvent systems built to keep the bad guys out. The NY Times and others think it's important to put Americans in harms way by printing all national security info they can get their hands on. Is a real shame.

Paint job is just primer, looks like shots of the car before it was complete.

Hrmm, pump-action shotguns inside but only the driver's window opens, and then only 3 inches. If fired from inside a sealed car the compression would probably blow your eardrums out. And I'm hoping if under fire the last thing they would do is open the doors.
