Snowplow Unknowingly Drags Car A Half Mile

By Miss Cellania in Auto & Transportation on Jan 13, 2009 at 1:57 pm

A snowplow operator in Colorado City didn’t realize he’d been in a traffic accident. He also didn’t realize that the car that hit him was still attached until other drivers flagged him down! 70-year-old John Archuleta rear-ended the snowplow Monday morning and his car became entangled in the snowplow’s sanding mechanism. Snowplow operator Fredrick Parrent, Jr didn’t feel the impact and continued driving for about half a mile. No one was injured in the incident, but Archuleta was cited for careless driving. My mother-in-law saw a car trying to slalom across a road only to hit the side of a large flatbed hauler. The car was crushed, and when she flagged the truck, the driver didn’t even realize he had been in an accident! It’s all a question of mass and momentum.

Do not try to tangle with a snowplow. The snowplow will always win!
